With today's concerns over escalating fuel costs and increasing dependence on fossil fuels, we are constantly seeking other options. That’s why we’re offering our members a way to combat these issues through participation in our new Green Power Choice program. A cleaner option for electricity generation, Green Power Choice offers our members the option of purchasing blocks of power generated from a renewable resource – methane gas from landfills.

Across the nation, more than 750 cooperatives offer Green Power alternatives, and through participation in Green Power Choice, you literally help turn trash into treasure – a win-win opportunity for Pioneer Electric Cooperative, our members, our community and our environment.

The Green Power Choice program gives you, our members, a simple way to support renewable energy by purchasing blocks of green power from Pioneer Electric. You can buy green power in 100-kilowatt-hour blocks (about 8 percent of a typical household's monthly use) for just $2 per month in addition to your regular kilowatt hour charge. You may purchase as many blocks as you like.
