Local School Involvement
It takes a wide variety of people and skills to provide electricity and service to Pioneer's 13,500 members. Invite a cooperative employee to your school’s career day to discuss the types of careers at Pioneer and the degree of education needed for employment in various jobs. Schedule a speaker: Contact Casey Rogers at 334-382-4904 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A small town is actually set up including miniature buildings and streets as well as overhead wires that at the flip of a switch, conduct real electricity. The presentation lasts approximately forty-five minutes, but it can be tailored to your needs.
Personal protective equipment used by a line worker is passed around to the participants. Their tool-laden work belts and bulky, insulated safety gloves and sleeves are used as part of this hands on demonstration.

The Super Energy Saver Classroom Kits
The Super Energy Saver Classroom Kits are designed for school age children grades K-5 including materials to teach students about electricity, electrical safety, energy savings, and renewable energy. The program is designed for teachers or cooperative staff to present to children. The children learn how to become “Super Energy Savers” by taking a checklist, and with the help of their parents, walking through their home to identify energy saving practices.
