Pioneer Electric employees donated $168 to the Greenville Senior Nutrition Center through its "Casual Day Fund".

The center has been a part of the Greenville community for more than 30 years and is a place where seniors can gather to meet friends for coffee, attend educational lectures or participate in fitness classes, interest clubs and games such as pool, backgammon, chess and checkers.

Manager Kathy Brown said the money will be used to purchase new games for the center.

PEC employees started a “Casual Day Fund” where on Fridays in exchange for two dollars, they were permitted to shed their business clothes and dress casually to raise money for various charities and organizations.
